Career Month is a month-long series of workshops designed to prepare you for the job fair on September 21 as well as your future job and internship searches!
HOW TO FIND A FEDERAL JOB
Given the current economic state, many positions are becoming available with the Federl Government! This is a great opportunity to learn from federal agency reps on how to get jobs in the many different types of government agencies, as well as how to write a federal resume.
INTERNSHIP WORKSHOP
In today's economy, it's getting harder and harder to find a job. With more people looking for employment, you've got more competition! To help you stand out above the rest, it's best to have some experience to back up your college diploma and make your resume shine! Come to the internship workshop to hear from actual recruiters on their amazing internship programs and how you can benefit from them! Bring a friend and some questions!
INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP
In this specialized workshop for International students, you'll learn how to prepare for the Job Fair, as well as other career related topics specific to International students.
RESUME CRITIQUES
Need your resume critiqued before the job fair, but can't make it to our office? Then come to our on-site resume critiques September 12th-16th. We'll be in the Palo Duro Lounge in the UC on September 12th and 13th, the Career Center (Davis Hall, Room 216) September 14th, the Atrium of Nedderman Hall September 15th and the lobby of the College of Business September 16th from 10am to 2pm critiquing resumes so everyone has the chance to make their best impression at the job fair. No appointment needed, just stop by to get the help you need to make your resume shine!
PUT YOUR BEST FACEBOOK FORWARD
What do you want employers to know about you and how do you get the message out there that you are the best person for the job? Learn how to polish up your online image and how to use social networking to your advantage during your job search. Also, learn how to enhance your networking skills and the importance of your personal brand.

Nervous about attending the job fair September 21st? The Career Center is here to help! Learn how to network a job fair and what to say when you approach an employer. Get resume tips, advice on what to wear, and other great information for having a successful job fair experience!

Worried about making a good first impression? Attend Speed Networking on Wednesday, September 14th from 11:30am to 1pm in the Concho, UC! Learn from real company recruiters how to put your best foot forward, then practice your skills with the people that matter!
